Oh, where to start?
At the beginning would seem the most obvious place.
Well, I've been wanting to create a wee outlet for my random thoughts, but haven't for a long while for fear that my thoughts would be too random and serve little purpose to anyone but me. And I already have a journal for that.
So, in an effort to bring some sense of order or structure to my words, I recently (as in several months ago) determined that since I have many opinions about a few forms of media – specifically movies and video games with a smattering of music and literature – I could create a review blog of sorts. Of course, I am about 10 years late to this party and I didn't really bring an awesome dish with me. Unless you count my wife.
That being said, I'm forging on into the unknown in spite of these concerns, or perhaps to spite them. I intend to write as often as I feel I have something of value to say. So that may be very often or laughably infrequent. I'm hoping for the former. Don't be shocked if it's the latter. I can also never assume that anyone will actually take the time to read this future content. But since I've worked in advertising for over 8 years, I'm well acquainted with that likelihood. I will promise you, potential reader, this however – I will do my best to make each post as entertaining, insightful and worth your time as I can. That's as fair a contract as I can offer, so I hope you'll join me on this little adventure.
That's enough introspection. Let's start looking at what's out there that's interesting and worthy of comment, shall we?
